There is no end to knowing about him, there is no pause in the question. So I went to the theater of the house without any delay. There will be a meeting of the story of Sri Jagannath Deva's rath yatra today.

How much talk will be heard about Puridham through the story?

 The story of building a chariot, the story of the corpses, the story of making a statue, the story of pulling a chariot - how much more. Even though I hear the same story over and over again, the taste of listening to the story of the Rath Yatra with so many people sitting in the theater with Grandpa's throat seems to be of a different nature. What is that attitude, what is that emotion - as if we can see everything right before our eyes.

Grandpa first took us to Puri Dham. Yes, one Dham of four Dhams in Puri Dham. On one side is the sea and nearby is the temple of Jagannath Dev. With the gathering of millions of fans. In their unison, the sky-wind resounded with the sound of Joy Jagannath. 

And at the same time, in the rhythmic rhythm of the bronze bell-bell, the appearance of Lord Nath-Jagannath Deva of the world brings heavenly bliss. 

Sweet-fragrant incense-fragrant highways adorned with the scent of incense and Puridham in the rain of flowers today waiting in line for the visit of Sri Jagannath-Balram and Subhadra.

According to my grandfather, I reached Puridham directly. In the conventional story of Rathyatra of Sri Jagannath. I came to know from his description that Jagannathdev used to worship the devotees from the time he sat on the throne all year round. 

Twelve types of journeys are held during the twelve months of the year. But after the bathing procession of Asadhi Purnima, Jagannathdev himself came down from the sanctum sanctorum of the temple among the devotees to pay obeisance to all the devotees of this mortal. The four doors of the temple of Sri Jagannath Deva at Puri Dham. He traveled from the main gate to the Gundicha temple. His journey is known as "Gundicha Jatra". Some people call it "Potit Paban Jatra". Some people call it "Nandighosh Jatra". Some people know it as "Navayatra". 

However, whatever comes in the name of Jagannath Darshan, this special day is known to our devotees as Rath Jatra. On that day Lord Jagannath Dev was in royal attire. Adorned with golden hands, golden legs, gold crowns, and gold ornaments, the entire Puridham became a symbol of eternal peace due to his grace towards the devotees.

Grandfather's words are guided by scriptural rules. After the direction, the flag is hoisted on the top of the chariot. Each of the three chariots had a flag with a different name on it. 'Chakradhvaja' is placed on the top of Jagannath.

 'Taladhbhaja' is placed on the top of Balaram. 'Padmadhvaja' at the top of Subhadra's chariot. After the completion of the work of worship and enjoyment in the temple, Sudarshan was brought by the Shabor people. One by one the three chariots were fully prepared.

After preparing the three chariots, the Maharaja of Puri came. He is the chief servant of Jagannath. The king of Puri came in a palanquin covered with a beautiful umbrella. When he had finished his duties, preparations began to pull the chariot.

 This custom has been going on since ancient times. I asked my grandfather about Jagannath's costume. I will try to convey as much as I can from his answer. The dress of Jagannath Dev is quite stylish. His attire is different at different times of the year.

 Besides, every morning after the Mongol Aarti, he descends in holiday attire. She wore a garment made of silk with flowers and garlands after the offering. Wear a lot of horns every night. Now let's come to the details of the clothes for the whole year.

Jagannath will be seen in sandalwood on Boishakh. Chandannabesh starts from Akshay III. Jagannath Dev was adorned with sandalwood at this time. Just like according to Vaishnavism this period is known as 'Chandan Jatra'.

Rath Jatra is celebrated in other places as well as in Puri.

Mahesh's Rath Yatra:

Mahesh. Rath Yatra in Bengal The name of Mahesh's Rath Yatra in Hughli comes first. G. Srirampur in Hughli. T. Sri Jagannath Temple along the road has made the place famous since ancient times. 

It is said that Sri Jagannath Dev himself performed a Ganga bath and rest at that particular ghat. Jagannath gave a dream order to a celibate named 'Drubananda'. Who finds the idol of Sri Jagannath Dev while bathing in the Ganges at that particular ghat.

 And worshiped with the idols of Jagannath, Balarama, and Subhadra. Later, Manohar Chandra Roy, the king of Sheoraphuli, built a temple of Mahesh Jagannath.

Manohar Chandra donated land for the worship of the temple. The next generation of the king also arranged worship. In this way, after a long period of many years, a temple about 50 feet high was built with a huge area courtesy of Nimai Charan Mallick of Saptagram.

There are two eagles at the two ends of the main gate of the temple of Mahesh Sri Jagannath. In front of the temple is a huge theater. There are regular lessons and kirtan in this theater. In the temple of Mahesh's chariot, the narration and biography of Sri Chaitanya are beautifully painted and described.

Mahesh's Jagannathdev chariot is now about 50 feet high. This chariot made of steel and wood has a total of nine spikes. There are twelve wheels to pull. On the first floor of this four-storied chariot, you will see the description of Sri Chaitanya Prabhu's Leela. On the second floor, you will find the description of Lord Krishna Leela. On the third floor is the description of Sri Ramlila. And Sri Jagannathdev is at the top.

After the bathing procession of Sri Jagannath, on the day of the chariot, in the presence of the people of Krishnaram Basu's family in Calcutta, Balaram, Subhadra, and Jagannath were decorated and placed in the chariot with Shaligram rock - for the devotees. People of all castes, high and low, can ride in the chariot.

Fans throng since morning. Many people from home and abroad came to pull the rope of the chariot. The crowd became crowded to see Jagannath's 'Mahesh' - Lord.

This time Dadu took Mahisadal to the description of Rath. The procession of Sri Jagannath at Mahishadal in East Midnapore is very old and historical. The five-story wooden chariot is about 50 feet high.

 There are seventeen peaks here. The chariot was designed by a French engineer, courtesy of King Lachman Prasad Gorg. The message of the tradition of Medinipur is carried through the beautiful art of this chariot. 

The art of this chariot seems to be the subject of research. Chariot crafts full of wooden horses, architecture, and sculptures will captivate your mind.

Rath Yatra to Kolkata:

This time I wanted to know about the chariots run by ISKCON in Mayapur and Calcutta. I found out that the chariot driven by ISKCON is full of modernity. The combination of ancient tradition with modern technology is the chariot of Calcutta operated by ISKCON and the chariot of Sri Mayapur.

 Many administrative personalities are also present in the chariot that is taken out from the Iskcon temple in Calcutta. Besides, local and foreign fans of ISKCON also took out a procession from the audience. All sorts of people in the metropolis crowd to pull the chariot.

 Apart from Ramakrishna and the Swamijis of Belur Math, civil society of Bengal, drama personalities and common people and Jagannath gathered in the hope of philosophy. The crowd has been gathering on the day of the chariot since morning.

Vehicles are prohibited on the highways of Kolkata to avoid congestion. The administration has to be extremely careful. Nagar kirtan and parikrama are going on all over the road. 

Recently, due to the presence of the Chief Minister of Bengal herself, this festival of Rath Yatra gets a different dimension. In a word, the city of Kolkata called "The CITY OF JOY" enjoys the auspicious day of the Rath Yatra all day long.

Why only Kolkata or Mahesh why the rath yatra of Bengal is going on all over Bengal today. The chariot of Mallaraja of Bishnupur, the chariot of Kanchannagar of Burdwan, the chariot of Kanthalpara of Naihati are no less.

 After hearing the story of the chariot ride from Dadu, we also went to pull the rope of the chariot. But no! The joy of this year's rath yatra is limited only to their own homes.

The Rath Yatra festival is being celebrated in Indiana, the USA by the initiative of the Jagannath Association. Fans took to the streets in procession. Administrative cooperation is also seen to be sufficient.

Krishna-loving devotees in New York celebrated the Rath Yatra at the initiative of ISKCON. Mutual culture brings the two countries closer. It is interesting to see the outpouring of enthusiasm among the Americans.
