How To Visit The Historical Amazing Place Amer Fort Jaipur | The Pink City Of India
If you love to travel, if you like to know the history, if you want to see the combination of Indian architecture with Western architecture then you will be at the Pink City of Jaipur, India. Must see Amer Fort.
Amer Fort is located in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. The city covers an area of about 4,000 sq km, 11 km from Jaipur station. Raja Man Singh was its founder. Amer Fort is known for its artistic elements.
Its craftsmanship, made of red sandstone and marble stone, will embarrass contemporary artists.
Inside the Amer fort, there is Jaleb Chowk. Here the king's fighters used to parade. There was a stable in the adjoining room of this ground. The king used to watch this parade. There are two gates to enter here. One is called the moon pole and the other is the sun pole.
This interesting palace is divided into four levels. One is Dewan-e-Aam, the second is Dewan-e-Khas, the third is Sheeshmahal and the fourth is Joy Mandir.
Dewan- e- Aam:
This part of the palace made of marble stone was built for the general public. The first man Singh built this palace. There are 54 pillars here. Maharaja Man Singh used to hold an annual festival for the general public here.
There are double pillars on the outside of this palace. These are made of pink sandstone and the single pillars inside are made of marble. In this Dewan-e-Aam you will find examples of Hindu culture as well as Muslim culture.
Dewan-e-Khas:
This Dewan-i-Khas was made by Mirza Raja Joy Singh. This Dewan-i-Khas was formed between 1661 and 1667.
This part of the palace was built for a foreign guest or a special guest of the royal family. Enjoy and marvel at the glass workmanship in this part of the palace. In this part, made entirely of Belgium glass, when the chandelier was lit at night, it seemed as if the stars were flickering around. This Dewan-e-Khas looked very romantic.
There is a bathroom inside the palace. At that time, the queen had cold and hot water for bathing. Water was brought from the Maotha lake at the bottom of the palace. Animals were used to carry water.
There is a garden inside the palace. Which is called Mughal Garden. Many movies have been shot in this beautifully decorated garden. Jodhaa Akbar movie was shot here.
Joy Temple means the happiness temple :
Joy Singh had two queens. Their quarters were also different. Inside the palace, the queen's room is called the Temple of Happiness. There was a system of ventilation on one side to keep the palace cool and cold water from the reservoir on the other. That water used to flow into the inner garden of the palace.
King Ram Singh had twelve queens. Each of them had a different palace. No other queen knew when the Maharaja lived with which queen. Because each floor was different.

Sheesh mahal:
The Maharaja and Maharani lived in this palace. Made entirely of Belgian glass brought from Belgium, this palace is impeccable in one word. Flower vessels made of glass are carved on the wall. Made of different colored glass. The floors are all marble stone. The walls and roofs are thousands of Belgian glass carvings.
Amer Fort Entry:
Amer Fort is open from 9 am to 6 pm.
There is a light and sound show from 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening.
Entry fee:
It costs 25 rupees for ordinary Indians and 10 rupees for students. But 200 rupees for foreign tourists. If you want to watch the light show in the evening, you will need a fee of 250 rupees.
