One of the attractions of Pink City Jaipur is the City Palace. Maharaja Sawai Joy Singh ruled from 1699 to 1744. Its capital was Amber. He built high walls around many parts of Amber. Then Maharaja Sawai Joy Singh built this spectacular palace between 1727 and 1732. Vidyadhar Bhattacharya was hired as the architect to build this palace.

 Along with his addiction to hunting, the population of Amber is increasing day by day and Amber is facing a water crisis. For this reason, the Maharaja decided to relocate the capital to this area of ​​Jaipur, about 11 km from Joy Singh Amber. City Palace was built.

Description

 The City Palace houses a wealth of Rajasthani and European art.

Here you will find a combination of pink sandstone and marble making on different floors. Among the multiple palaces, Chandra Mahal, Mukut Mahal, Maharani Palace, Mubarak Mahal, Radha Govinda Mandir, and City Museum will captivate your mind.

As you enter through the main door you will see some clothing and other items shops. You will find collections of Rajasthani handicraft shops, silk garments, pashmina, bags, Rajai, etc. here.

Going a little further, you will see two huge water containers that have a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. One of the two silver water jugs is made of 14,000 silver coins. One of them weighs 345 kg. Height five and a half feet. One of them has a volume of 900 gallons.

Mubarak Mahal

Chandra mahal
