What's there ! at Vivekananda Rock? Part-2

 Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a proud of Indian culture and religion.It was build on 1970 to honor Swami Vivekananda.To reach the destination we should start timely.

 I suggest that we should reach there before noon as we spent there at least two to three hours easily.we will enjoy from there about the clear wave of The Arabian sea,The Indian Ocean and The Bay of Bengal which is called Triveni Sangam.

What's there ! at Vivekananda Rock? Part-2

  We can enjoy the oceanic wave from around the rock from many angles. We may take photo there too.Camera and mobile phone are allowed around the rock.A prayer hall is present inside the memorial where a fine statue of swamiji is there.

 But remember that photography is prohibited there.A pin drop silence will give you a nostalgic environment. A spiritual sound of 'om' will impress you to do prayer.

 We must pray there for an hour. The darken room,calm situation and 'om' sound with echo in front of you in presence of a silver made 'om' written sign will insist you to pray.

 A fine book stall of Swamiji,Sri Ramakrishna,Sarada ma,Bedanta etc is there.You may collect your choice- able book from there with reasonable price.

On the other hand we must go to the statue of Thiruvalluvar ,the famous poet of Tamil Nadu.You will be surprised seeing this 133 ft tall statue.The stone sculpture of the both rock and statue will give you a nostalgic enjoyment.

 You may take snacks or ice cream outside the statue.Toilet also available there. I request you all to visit at least once to get this charm of this Rock Memorial.


How to get there:

From Howrah - You have to catch a direct train from Howrah to Kanyakumari. The Howrah-Kanyakumari Express train leaves at 4:10 pm. It takes about 43 hours. So take the necessary things to go to the long-distance car. Arrange dry food, water, medicine, etc.

From Mumbai - From Mumbai you can get Humsafar, Nagercoil Express to Kanyakumari. It will take about 44 hours.

From Delhi - You will get a train from Nizamuddin in Delhi to Kanyakumari at 8:10 am. Besides, you will get the train from New Delhi by 2:15 pm.

From Chennai - Kanyakumari Express departs daily from Chennai Central. You can also catch the Howrah to Kanyakumari train.

You can also catch a plane to Kanyakumari. But then you have to get off at Trivandrum Airport. From there you have to catch a bus or a private car.

conclusion:

Many people dream of touching Kanyakumari, the last end of the Indian mainland. Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a dream pilgrimage site for every Indian. South India is the land of temples. And in this sacred pilgrimage site, Vivekananda has taken the place of rock milestone.

চলো যাই গ্যাংটক- পর্ব -১  ছোটবেলার সেই দিন গুলির কথা মনে পড়ে বারে বারে।সেদিনের ক্লাসে বাংলা শিক্ষকের দার্জিলিং ও গ্যাংটক যাওয়ার বর্ণনা আজও আমায় স্বপ্নের জগতে ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে যায়।নীল আকাশের গায়ে সাদা পেঁজা তুলোর মতো মেঘের ভেসে বেড়ানোর গল্প ,মাঝে মাঝে ধোঁয়ার মতো মেঘ- ঘরের মাঝে ঢুকে যাওয়ার গল্প,আমায় যে কোন জগতে নিয়ে যেত-তা আমি ভাষায় বলতে পারি নে।  মেঘের দেশে সেই তখন থেকেই স্বপ্ন দেখেছি। বড়ো হয়ে একটি বারের জন্য মেঘ ছুঁয়ে আসবো।আর সে ইচ্ছেটা পূরণ হইতেই সেটা খানিক কইতে না পারলে বোধকরি আয়েশ মেটে না ।যাইহোক, নেট দুনিয়ার দৌলতে একটুখানি অভিজ্ঞতা সঞ্চয়পূর্ব্বক, পাড়ি দিলুম গ্যাংটক যাত্রা উদ্দেশ্যে -সোজাসুজি হাওড়া স্টেশনে।সংরক্ষিত কামরার টিকিট অবশ্যি আগেভাগেই কাটা ছিল।  দিনটা ছিল ৩রা অক্টোবর ২০১৮। শীতটা তখনো পড়েনি। বেশ গরম গরম-ই বটে। হাওড়া স্টেশন। দক্ষিণ -পূর্ব রেলের এই বর্ণময় স্টেশনটি যেন সারা ভারতবাসীর এক মিলনক্ষেত্র। স্টেশনে পৌঁছনোর সাথে সাথে মনটা যেন এক অনাবিল আনন্দে ভরে গেল।মনটা যেন ছটপট করছিল কখন চেপে বসব গন্তব্যের ট্রেনে।ইলেক্ট্রনিক্স বোর্ডের দিকে তাকাতে তাকাতে যখন ...
